Got a missed call around 11:55a 4/3/15 tried to call it back number is disconnected

Same as above - ever day. I'm on Do Not Call List - the number is always spoofed. I selected 1 to try to see what the rap was. A young woman answered at one point and started a script. I asked, Is it free? I heard a "ahem" and then click.What can we do to get back at these people?

I appreciate your frustration, but much of what you said is off the mark. Apparently I was the first one to report this number, way back last year. Anyway, the reason that scammers "spoof" numbers is to mask their real number and identity. The FCC can do nothing about a number that does not exist. The numbers they use are typically out of service or made up - you can make spoofed calls yourself via the Internet. No, calling them back does not give them any right to call you - best to use *67 before dialing them in any case, though, to block your own identity. Pressing a key to be removed from a list either means nothing at best or at worst is a verification that your number is valid, ready for more calls. Having your number on a website is NOT an invitation to make unsolicited calls to you, whether you are a business or an individual. We also have a call blocker, and now 5 months later I just happened to notice that this one has continued calling regularly - rough break for them that the calls have done them no good. If you have a VOIP number via the Internet, you can use free services that automatically block calls like this. In any case, nobody can solve this for you - you are your best defense. Good luck!

another robocall from 219-654-8687 caller ID said "WIRELESS CALLER" Wednesday 01-07-15 @ 916 AMlast called by this SCAM number on 12-30-14males voice on message "Hello senior...you have been selected to receive a free medical alert system................referred by friend or family member.............free $3000 in valuable grocery savings coupons plus a 75 dollar prescription card.............press 1....."I pressed 1 right and received the following message ="I'm sorry that's not a valid extension. please try again."

I didn't answer but I don't want them calling me

These people have been harassing me for months...when I inform them that I'm on the Do Not Call Registry, onetold me to [***]. So I had some time and was able to track down the [***] behind this ....The guy's name is Sahar Brown. They are located in Woodland Hills, California (6100 De Soto Avenue #413).His phone number is 213-361-8646. I intend to call him in the middle of the night every time I receive arobo call from this scam outfit.

Dead air, robo-call never went to recorded message. Minutes later, another number (307-366-9898), same thing. They're not even being good a55holes if thier 5hit is broken.

Sometimes they never say anything.
