Said he is with the IRS Hung up right away. SCAM

Identified himself as Officer Danny Walter. Synthetic voice and mixed recorded message. Said to call him back. Said do not ignore or all he can do is wish you good luck. Did not ID an office name. Very amateurish recording - laughable actually. Called several times leaving voice messages.

Said i will be arrrsted and hes from the irs. he wished me luck.

Received two calls in same day- could not understand who or what he was calling for.

Has called twice today. First call I answered and said he was from the irs. I hung up after yelling scam into the phone. Called about an hour later and let the call go to voicemail. message said he was Danny Walters and to call his division .

Total scam. I called them back, and they answered that they were the IRS and was rude. I got rude back and ended up laughing and talking to the guy for 5 minutes about the scam. He said, "when its a 40 million dollar a year business, it's hard not to do this." Ended up being a nice guy....but its a scam.

Received call on my cell phone yesterday. I let it go to voice mail, since the number was not familiar coming from Virginia.The message was from a person identifying himself as Danny Walter from IRS, with same message as John's posting dated 8 May.Having heard on the news of the scam, I wanted to play with them a bit.I called the 571-222-2914 number back from a different phone than my cell phone, and got a different person than Danny that answered. When I asked to talk to Danny Walter, I was asked if I was calling from the phone number I received the Danny's voice message on. I questioned him back as to why that's important to know. He repeated the question. When I replied back that IRS should not need this information, he hung up !

I received 3 calls within 2 hours from this number. "Danny Walters" left 2 messages (I let all calls go to voicemail) similar to those that have been reported above. Obviously a scam.

This is definitely a scam and the guy answering is a pervert. I am sure an IRS agent would not tell someone that they want to get them pregnant. I had to cuss him out and threatened to take the fake voicemail and his number to the police.

Wen i got 1st msg i called Back no answer. Then the 2nd msg he identified self as officer danny walters from irs so i googled officer danny walters and came across real stories of an officer danny walters shot in neck along with these scam reports so definately a scam. Stupid and i thot i had no life.
