Just got a call from 1 (777) 777-7777 they said they were the US Gov Grant department (a girl with poor english strong accent of some sort and odd laughter in the background) they said that I was chosen to get a 3,500 grant because of my good tax records. That was the icing on the cake because I still haven't filled last years taxes (a long other story about a tax company that scammed me) so I decided to play along and see how far I could let it go a acted interested and went as far as confirming the spelling of my name while asking questions and then said that they should give the money to someone else because I have enough funds not to worry and try and make her more interested in getting my banking info to see how then she said it is grant money that won't go to anyone else it will be wasted. I guess people over sees thing our government burns money if it isn't spent where it suppose to be and also that americans also feel that way. Anyway I am thinking this might be because I got a trojan horse on my computer and they were phishing for some more information because one of the questions was that all I needed to get my funds was a seven digit password and it happens that my online financing master password is seven digits and they were hoping I'd use the same one if they call back "uscamer" will be the password I give them to access my grant.
me too got 4 calls from this number at aorund 12:15am. responded everytime but didn't get reply. Switched off my mobile and slept. No idea , who called.(if it is an international call or someone calling from messenger service)
For someone that uses the Internet - you must have been out of the world, if you do not know this is the number used for all Yahoo calls!!!!
hi i got a call from 1-777-777-7777, for a sec and was hung up...from where the call must be from???
On 12/22/08 This number appeared in my caller ID as well. Strange, line only rang once and stopped?
stayed on the phone for exactly 59 seconds. thought i heard a dog barking. something in bavckground though.
No this isn't just from a Yahoo Service. This is a standard number that is used by a lot of companies. When there is no return phone number it will automatically generate the 777 number. I'm sure if you did a lot of research you could probably narrow it down to exactly what particular coming it's coming from. I have made from England, and my family always asked me whose phone was I using. The number came up as all 7s. I wasn't on the internet or anything. i think that it just depends on what particular company is making your connection for you. I hope that this helps!
