He asked for me, when I said 'speaking' he hung up the phone

Stated they were part of RBC - asked a few questions about having number of credit cards and traveling.Went into talking about the product and what it can do for you protecting identity theft if ID or credit cards get stolen - funny thing is RBC phoned me and looked after the problem when my credit card was compromised (didn't need there service)catcher is they want to want to sign you up, first month is free and you can cancel anytime if you don't like there offer - NOT FOR ME - not interested and hung up - I will never sign up without reviewing the information first. Done that in the past and it can be very difficult to cancel mean while you are being charged a monthly feeI would rate this as a scam because of the way they approach you and I'm not sure RBC is on board with them even though they say so. Not sure how they found out I was with RBC or if it was a guess.

I haven't picked up and talked, but they've contacted me many times throughout the past week. My phone shows that the number is coming from New West, apparently, though. I picked up once and didn't talk, and they didn't say anything either so they're clearly waiting for your voice or something. Annoying. Will probably block.

Hang up right away, it is a scam and they will try to get information from you very persistently. Do not give any information.

I confirmed with FirstReport customer service ---they wrote: The phone number is indeed associated with Canada Direct which is the agency placing these calls on behalf of RBC.

I talked to RBC and FirstReport customer service. This is number is associated with telemarketer not a scammer. RBC conformed that FirstReport offered privacy protection services (also it's on the rbc website), and First Report confirmed that the number 7783121000 was a Canada Direct agent calling on their behalf .

Called me everyday after I deposited amount of money into my bank account and canceled some of my credit card plan that I never need about. I'm guessing they just want me spend my money for something they offering and it's probably useless. I just blocked this number after week of incoming calls

Got a call from this number 2 days in a row, at the same time both days. Didn't answer the first time, no message was left. Answered the second day, call lasted 5 seconds, nobody said anything. :/

The same thing here, I've tried calling back but it only rings then nothing on the other end, I'm trying to block it
