this person got this phione # through bell canada about 5 months ago and for the past 5 months she keeps getting calls for a Stacy Manly who does not live there. Patricia would like the calls from Capital One.

Just got a call from t his number 18002840755 claiming I had a balance owing of %9 and change when I didn't even get a card. I was told it was the annual premium payment for membership...? I asked when I was sent the card and they told me Dec 2007 - I have NEVER gotten a card from them? They advised they were cancelling the card and I would owe nothing - does this sound strange ot anyone else out there?

We get call after call after call from this number, approx. 3 times a day for months now, when we answer there is no one there.

We're getting calls from this daily, but when we pick up we get the tell-tale long pause that says it's a telemarketer, so we hang up.

I had a similar problem. I cancelled my card and six months later they sent me a bill for about $160, claiming that I didn't cancell my insurance. I also had a service added to my card that I didn't want. Theyu send you a letter saying they will put this service on your account unless you respond to cancell it. When cancelling my card, they said that it is the responsibility of the cardholder to cancell any additional coverage or the account will remain active. They charged me for the insurance, this other service, interest, and the annual fee, after I had cancelled my card, all because they actually cancell everything for you. But they don't tell you at the time you cancell that you have to do all of this.

Yeah I am getting daily calls from this # too. And no response when I pick up really stupid.

Just received a call from this # 2 minutes ago. They were kind enough to leave a message (mind you it was computer generated). It was kind of fishy, it seemed like the first 2 seconds or so of the message was cut-off and I was missing something but it trailed into "....calling to bring Chris (and my last name) to the telephone, or if this is not Chris, please press 3". No identification as to who they were or what they so it sounds like a scam to me, who knows what pressing 3 would've done or what would've happened had I answered the phone when they called. It was my cell phone as well, so I'm surious as to how that got loose.

Every two or three days someone from this number keeps calling at least 5 times a day(I'm not exaggerating, 5 times a day) and NOT leaving a message. They just hangup. I have call display so that's how I know it's this number calling me. I also have voicemail so there's no excuse for them to just hang up. They could leave a message if they really wanted to. I don't care if it's computer generated calling and hanging up without a message is just rude!

On Nov 19 I posted and yet again, once yesterday and this morning too. When I answered they just hung up. WHO CAN WE COMPLAIN TO TO GET CAPITAL ONE TO QUIT DOING THIS ONCE AND FOR ALL? ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!!!!!!!
