I'm old and owe nobody. But in my younger days, this would have scared the beejeebers out of me. Very bad business practice!

Robocall - sounded like a scam. What debt collector uses robocalls hoping you'll call back??

I have told them the person they are looking for is not at this number. They haven't been for 15 years. I have managed to cut this call and other junk calls down to almost nothing. As soon as they hear the answering machine come on they hang up. I put this message on my machine:The ringer is OFF on my phone because I do not want to:Buy anythingDonate to anythingOr join anything!There is nothing wrong with my:ComputerBank accountTaxesOr Credit Card!Everyone else - Leave a message.And it works great. A lot of people have adopted this message.

I never answer these calls..this one is from a TRS collection agency. I owe no one..have a clean credit report..they leave a number to call and a reference number..I don't even try to fight them..(been thru this with other collection agencies)Thankfully they call my landline and I have it only for emergencies..I use my cell phone all the time.so I turn the sound off on my landline..It's a sad world when companies like this get away with it..I have a blocking system but it fills quickly..I can only block 13 and then I have to delete and start over..I have another one that calls and apparently they have my name..How they did that I have no idea..but when they call and I don't answer the person yells out my first name on my answering machine....scares the bejesus out of me I am 74..It's like I am being stalked in my own home...

Call them back and tell them it is illegal to call a Federal phone number. My shop use to get calls like this and this is what we were told to do and they stopped.

They call with a recorded message to call them back. They do not say who they are calling for. We have no debt in collections, we pay our bills on time. We have only had this number for a few months and since having have been harassed every day with debt collection calls for people we do not even know and have been accused by the people on the other end that we are lying. I have since gotten legal representation to deal with the harassment. I am so tired of the harassment that is unnecessary.
