I receive these calls after I fill prescriptions at my local pharmacy. I ignore them - they're trying to force me to sign up with their mail-order pharmacy instead of buying generics at my local pharmacy. They claim it's cheaper but interestingly enough, it's been more expensive every time I've looked into it. Plus, they send drugs through the mail without taking any precautions.No thanks!

Medco Pharmacy - legitimate caller, calling to inform me about a prescription being processed. They likely call you because your medical also provides pharmacy through Medco.They will also use this number to inform you that your Dr hasn't approved the prescription and you need to follow up with your Dr.

This is Medco prescription insurance, which is who my health insurance uses for prescription coverage. It's not a spam/junk call. They were calling to let me know that a prior authorization for one of my prescriptions is about to expire, and that I'd be receiving a letter in the mail soon with information on how to renew the prior authorization if I need/want to continue taking the medication.

Sounds like you need to read your insurance information a little better. I always get prescriptions via Medco. It is cheaper....and I DO get generics. AND they do send drugs through the mail WITH precautions. Some medication I have to sign via UPS..educate yourself before you write on a public webpage. *dumb*a$$*. Thank you. Good day.
