I had called Comcast to report a problem with my TV box. After several attempts to re-boot the box, I was told that a technician would need to come to the house to switch out the box. I went ahead and scheduled the technician visit. About an hour later, I received an automated voice message saying it was Comcast and that they needed to talk to me about the upcoming technician visit. When I called this 844 number back, a man with a very foreign accent said he needed to access my account and to do so he needed some information. First, he asked me my name, which I provided. However, when he next asked me for my home phone and home address, I became suspicious, as he would already have my phone number via caller ID. I told him I was not going to provide any further information and terminated the call. To me, this seemed like some sort of scam. Not sure if Comcast is aware of this activity, but my advice is BE VERY CAREFUL if you encounter a similar situation.

was not home caller id and message to call back, said he noticed I was having a comcast tech come to house and offered to help to see if he could fix it first I said NO, Also noticed one time when I was having problems that the person wanted remote access to tv screen to see problem again I said NO went off on person not at any time ever did I have someone ask for remote access with comcast so beware they want access to your info

She called fro her cell phone and left a message asking if we wanted to sell our house.
