I got the distinct impression this is an offshore organization in India (Mumbai) used by fraudulent CC merchants who try to intimidate you into agreeing to pay disputed Chase CC transactions. The merchant in my case was Centro Hispano Educativo. I called Chase too and they told me this was not their number.
Received 2 calls from this number claiming to be from chase card services. I called the 800 number on the back of my phone and spoke with the security department who verified THIS NUMBER IS NOT FROM CHASE and is a scam looking to get my card number. Always call the 800 number on your card!
Received Call from an UNKNOWN and went to check the voice mail given. It was a man with a heavy accent regarding a inquiry from Chase. He asked to call him back at 1 (844) 540-8025 ex 6571315. I found this a little odd so I came for googles help and I saw this webpage. Took the advice on calling the number on the back of my card and sure enough the people from Chase told me that this number is not listed on any of their calling numbers. THESE ARE PEOPLE THAT WANT YOU ACCOUNT NUMBER!!!!!! DO NOT CALL THOSE PEOPLE BACK!!!!!!! Call chase (number behind your card) right away once you receive this call.
Got a call from them today. She said she needed my birthday and last 4 digits of my social in order to verify it was me. I told her to fly a kite. I then called Chase and it was indeed a scam
These hackers from India stole my e-mail account and Amazon account. These hackers send phony web pages out there and then you think you’re using the real Google but then you find out that it’s been changed and you’re default isn’t Google anymore. So check your web browser before you enter information. I never received a package from Amazon so I had an inquiry with them but I can’t get into my accounts. Chase would write you a letter if you had a dispute set up with them. This is a fake, phony Chase call to get your social security number.
I just recieved a call from 1-800-935-9935 and it went to voicemail as I am at work. I checked my voicemail and recieved a message from some Eastern woman. She was speaking so fast I had to replay te message like 7 times to get her phone number and extension down right. I called the number and it went to voicemail with a different name on it. Her last name was Sherma and the Voicemail said Steve. So i suspected something odd. I found this website which blew my mind because the number calling me was a Legit Chase number, the same on the back of my card. Had I answered who knows what may have happened. I called Chase immediately and the stated this number is not affiliated with them at all if I do call them back do not give them any personal information. They already had my first name, middle inital and last name. This is freaky. Please watch out!!!!
Called Chase Visa number on back of card. Was told this was a good Chase number for a disputed I had filed.
Indian sounding man said he was from Chase, and used my full name. then asked I call him back on 844 540 8025, at an ext I did not write down. The call was from 847 426 9209. clearly a fake call, as I do not have a Chase CC.
THIS IS NOT A SCAM:I received a phone call regarding a charge I had disputed on my credit card. Called, and everything seemed legit-they other person knew the charge, the merchant with the dispute and the amount. They asked for my ss number and date of birth, which I provided. I asked to remove the dispute as the merchant agreed to refund the amount himself.I got worried later as I realized this was not the regular Chase number, and freaked out when I found all these comments at this and other websites.Called Chase at the number at my credit card. They did not know this number. HOWEVER, they did see that there was contact with me regarding my cc today, and after I inquired further they saw that the activity was to remove the dispute (exactly what I had asked) and that as personal info they had asked for my ss number and date of birth. Therefore it is 100% legit. Most people probably don't figure it out when you call Chase cause you don't make a special request and therefore they can't confirm it was them-I asked them to cancel the dispute and that was actually shown on my credit card account. I also requested they disclose that this number is associated with them to avoid all the panic.
