Called the number on the back of my credit card. They never confirmed that the 844-call was made from their organization

Called Chase 1800 number from the back my credit card. They never acknowledged that any one from their organization actually called me.

Called the 8445408025 number and extension today to see what they are up to. They started fishing my personal information step by step including DOB, last four of SS# and other stuff. I told them to send any information they wanted to share with via Chase Secure Message Center. That was end of conversation.

I received a call that registered as "Unknown", and this phone number was left with an extension to call back. I did, and my call went to voicemail for someone other than the person who left my message. I called Chase directly, and they confirmed it was a valid call and then connected me directly to the Dispute Department.

Caller ID not available, Name Anonimous. Returned the call at 844-540-8025 with extension as stated in the voice mail. The guy had heavy Indian accent so I greated him in Hindi- up keisei- hei! He was polite but could never tell me what exactly they called me about. Instead, he was asking for information like last four digits of my credit card number, social, DOB, etc. I told him that he sounded like a scammer. He suggested me to call Chase by the number on the back of my credit card, and continued phishing for my info at the same time. I stopped conversation and called official Chase number from the card. Chase rep asked my mother's middle name for identification, and never asked me questions that the Indian guy did. The woman from Chase checked my account records and confirmed that nobody from Chase contacted me that day or even several weeks before. She identified the Indian caller as a SCAMMER with certainty.

An update. Those crooks put "legit" comments for this number (as well as for their other numbers ending -23 and -24) on various websites dealing with spam calls

I checked with chase as well they did a search of their phone number list and said this was not one of theirs. Do not give them your information.

Got the very same call a had to listen 10 times to get the call back number correct, am now notifying Chase fraud unit of this! She gave her number as 844/540-8025, x 65713

It is real. I work for the actual Chase Bank. The call is from Card Member Services. They won't ask for your full info, just partial to verify. They will ask for you last four of social, not full and date of birth. If you call from a different number back, you must verify the number that got the voice mail.

Got a call from 844-540-8025 that sounded like a scam. No caller ID and a guy with an indian accent left two voice mails to call him back about a "recent inquiry". Why he didn't say fraud dispute is beyond me. Calling the number I got a "this number is not in service" message which added to the suspicion. I think it may have been legit but I called the number on my card and took care of it that way.
