I have been receiving voicemails with the alleged urgent Honda safety recall off and on for a few months. Initially it said it was a recall on an Accord which I never owned, having owned a Civic. I no longer own a Honda which I sold a couple of years ago. I always received recall letters in the past. I did an inquiry on the Honda Recall Lookup via my old car's VIN and there is no recall on it. The scam phone call phone number isn't the same as the legit American Honda Motor Co, Inc customer service for recalls 1-888-234-2138, nor are the hours the same hours as listed on Honda's website for recalls.

I received two calls which I did not answer nor return. Then today I received a large official looking postcard regarding the supposed recall. I've already had all the airbags fixed. I'm about to call my dealer but glad to know from all these other folks that this is most likely a scam. I had a suspicion since the other recall notices came by mail and in an envelope.

I have received the same calls multiple times and the caller does not know my name or make of Honda. I just checked with my Oregon dealer who informs me there is a 3rd party contracted to do this for Honda and the database they are using has errors in it. Dealer also confirmed no recalls open on our Honda products. This number is blocked for future calls.

I did not recognize this number so I did not answer the call, however, a recorded message was left on my voicemail. They said it was the Honda Customer Service Team calling me about a recall on my Honda. We own three Honda cars and the message does not indicate which one the recall pertains to. This is a nuisance call and in my opinion if there is an actual recall a mailing should have been sent out. Bogus call...ignore it.

Called the actual Honda number. The 855-215-5008 is not any number associated with Honda. My car was not under recall. Complete scam.

I got a message from this phone number saying that I have a recall from Honda. The number did not say it from Honda; in addition Honda always sent me a post office mail about recalls. Check my record with Honda service, no outstanding recall. Phone scam, I bet when you call back they will ask for personal information!!!

It’s about the mass Honda airbag recall got a post card today and then they called they only have a certain amount of time to fix the passenger side airbag

They called yesterday and I didn’t recognize the number so I didn’t answer. They left a voicemail about a recall on my Honda. I called my dealership and they “transferred” me somewhere where the line went dead. I called back again and they transferred me somewhere where someone else was asking to speak to someone else. Something fishy is going on.
