Received a call from "Kathy" saying that the company has a refund for some "technical support" already paid for. Said they were from Microsoft and they were shutting down. Call back for refund. SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This number called my elderly parents saying they were due a refund from Microsoft because they had overpaid for something which wasn’t clear. Wanted their credit card number for the reimbur***t. Luckily my parents didn’t comply but called me and told me what happened. I called the number and spoke with a man who just answered the phone with a very demure ‘hello’. I asked why he called my parents and he reiterated the same bogus speech, saying it was the Microsoft Refund Center, to which I informed him they don’t own a computer much less made any purchases from Microsoft. He became belligerent and told me I was wasting his time! Makes me sick to think of the elderly people that are fooled by this!

Yes, this call from "Kathy" at Microsft has another SPAM call saying that the company has a refund for some "technical support" already paid for. Obviously not true, so please do not call the number which is very likely to access your credit card or bank account. Looking at the voicemail transcript for this call while I was listening to the recording, the caller says that they are required to shut down the company...Microsoft. As AL wrote above, that's impossible.
