866 216 1072 called me and asked for my spouse Carol. When she answered the phone they hung up. She does not order Amazon.
I have renewed a military history subscription online, these guys keep trying to sell me a renewal according to the publishing company they are bogus.
There are approximately $200 worth of charges from this number; 866-216-1072, applied to my bank statement. I do not know of this number, have not called nor responded to calls from this number, and am angry that I've lost this much money, when I don't know what this is all about!
I search the web for a phone number for Amazon Customer support - but could not find one. I used the online form at Amazon and a customer service representative called me at the phone number I put into the form - which was my home number. Once my Amazon order/exchange was dealt with, I asked the representative what the customer service phone number is for Amazon and she provided 866-216-1072. It's cowardly of a business, especially one as big as Amazon to hide this from the public. As a customer, I expect this information to be publically available - right on their website...just like every other major merchandiser. I'd like to say that I'll never order from Amazon again, but my wife likes their offerings. I'll just be more selective in the future...

Someone using this number called, when I answered there seemed to be there cut I said "hello" twice and no one said a thing. I hung up. If it was a collector they would not only answer but keep you on the line for as long as it took.
