I have had them for 35 years. They are great.

If it is really Allstate calling then why do they block part of the call id info? A legitimate caller would not block their info. AND, just because you call back the number displayed on your call id and get a recording from the real Allstate, it does not mean that the call was legit. They could have spoofed your call id display.

I don't want Costco Insurance, or anyone else calling me - I have 800-donotcall, have been with Allstate for 25 years, and am more than satisfied

I checked and see it was Allstate...they have stood by me, tickets, no tickets, life insurance, one of the best AGENTS I have ever had and wouldn't change no matter what, if you find a good thing, stick with it...(RAMOS ALLSTATE-FALLS CHURCH VA)

Allstate usually gives 2 part checks - they give you 1 check for the depreciation, than another check once all the work is done. They are protecting their ASSets. If you decide NOT to repair your vehicle, well you get to keep check #1. If you repair your vehicle (and this is the same as personal property or a home claim) than you submit your receipts and get a check for #2. Of course they won't just take your first estimate - they barter with the repair people. Repair people will give you 1 type of quote if you are paying cash, and a WHOLE other (more expensive) quote if you say you are turning it into your insurance company.YES sometimes insurance sucks - but overall, just like you, they need to watch every penny, or one day they WILL be broke and when you need them they won't have the money to give you!TALK to your agent/claims adjuster and be honest with them - don't just stay ticked off, and ASSume the worst. Also a tip - BE NICE. It's really not that hard. Even if you are upset, explain that, but be KIND. Most likely the person you are talking to is just there trying to help and has no say on the final outcome. BUT if you are kind, they will do their best to make sure you are taken care of.
