They wanted me to accept a phone call from an inmate from the Vanderburgh County Jail. I don't know anyone who is in the Vanderburgh County Jail!!!! Please tell whomever it is that called me that if I get any more phone calls from that number I will kick their [***] or even worse!!!!
I NEVER answer phone call anymore because of the numerous scams. This one is just plain irritating: a recorded message comes on asking me to press 1, over and over again. No, I am on going to answer this call. Finally, the message ended. I blocked the number. Good thing, cause less than 1 minute later it called again. I do not know anyone in jail and do not intend to make contact with anyone in one either.
This is a scam of sorts its inmates trying to get people to talk to I have been in the shoes of these guys and it sucks not being able to have any outside contact. THey are just trying to get someone to put money on there calling cards so they can talk to others that arent in jail with. Some dont even have any people to talk to at all so even a 5 min convo would help boast spirts
I know about that scam; my sister fell for it. But the number itself is not a scam. I'm actually glad I came to this site, because I haven't been picking up and now I know that next time I should, since I realize now a guy I know who IS in prison is trying to reach me.
It's not a scam. The number is with Securus Technologies, a company that enables inmates to make phone calls.I have a loved one incarcerated. He just attempted to call but because I didn't recognize this number, I didn't answer. It was only after I called the number that I realized it was him attempting to call and the reason I received a call from this number is because I don't have any money on my phone account.
How can it be a call from a friend or family member when I don't have either one in jail?
