Just got a call from this number at our business. Answered it, and was met with a dial tone connecting me to someone. They asked for the company owner and said they were from the United States Government and that he is entitled to a $7000 compensation for some unknown reason. The lady on the phone spoke terrible English, barely recognizable as English in the first place.This is obviously some sort of scam, so beware when you get a call from this number. I know they are up to no good.

I just received the same call multiple times in the last 2 days. Everyone that I talked to had broken English. I got the same description as what Clayton said. I would like to hear from others that got this call. It must also be on some sort of dialing system because when I answer it rings back to them and the guy on the other end just simply answered with "Hello". Scam!

I had the same problem, they've been calling me constantly for the past week. Last week they had said it was $15000 and today it was $7000. They didn't want an account number however the lady told me to go down to the bank straight away with $260 to send to God knows where and that I would be compensated with a total of $7260. I called and left a complaint with the federal trade commission.

I have been been receiving a lot of phone calls from the same number lately. I myself am a business owner. When I answered it 2 of the 8 times they have called me, I got the dial tone and I hung up. Thanks for the information here, I am a little more aware of this happening.

I started getting calls from this number last week and they call a few times a day. US Grant Department. The first call I actually listened to what he had to say. I've ignored most but answered again today and tried to cut straight to the point and asked what he needed from me to get the money. He promptly hung up. Total Scam! Verizon Wireless allows for a 90 day block on numbers at no charge so I guess I won't hear from them until August.

I've been getting calls from this number also, (started 2 months ago) says he's from Wash. DC and has a free Grant.I think these calls are coming from the temp. agency(s), because I'm looking for a job.Asian male, calls about 2 or 3 times a day. But yesterday was different, caller Asian (again)said that is from Wash.DC, and that he's a terrorist and he's coming over to talk to me, knowswhat city, state, etc. Talked to our cell phone carrier, called was originated in Mexico.So, be careful.

Just got a call from that number as well. Same story as Clayton and others described. It's a jungle out there, folks - as everybody has said, be careful!
