I received the same call today. I agree that they are up to no good. The guy spoke very poor english as well and claimed to be from the US Government. He tried to indicate to me that I had claimed bankruptcy, which I have not (ever) and he seemed to be trying to get me to answer "yes" to some of his questions, which I wouldn't do. I told him not to call here ever again and hung up. I am on the "National Do Not Call" registry so I don't know how these telemarketers (if that's what they really are) are getting my phone number. BEWARE!!

This number also called my cell. Male voice, poor english, claiming to be from the federal government. Said I was eligible for $7000 because I had good credit, no criminal record, etc.He gave me a case number and a phone number to call, 202-621-0067. Could not make out much more and when I questioned him, the call disconnected. Called that number back and got a female, lots of background noise, and she also had very bad English,(could not understand her). I asked her if she worked for the us government and she said yes. She asked for a case number which I gave to her and then she hung up. Yes, beware!

Also keep getting called by this number. After the dial tone, they keep hanging up. Very fishy!

I've had 3 calls in 2 days on my cell. When you answer it rings back to someone. I hung up then and didn't talk to anyone. Thanks everyone for the information.

Hi everyone,I got this call yesterday and they said they were from the US government some department (couldn't hear as the connection was very poor and the english was broken. I received a call again today and I told him not to call anymore and if he would I would report the scam and hung up. This guy called me from a blocked number and started cussing and making racist remark. I hung up and he tried calling 3 more times after that.Beware!!!!

I'm continuously getting calls from this place on my cell phone! I've never answered it though. they leave messages that say nothing. How do I stop these? Should I change my number?

I've been getting calls from this number for a few days now - it's clearly a scam, but they're not smart enough to actually stop calling me.

This people will not stop calling me what i do to make them stop calling me they call me all day while im at work and it gets very aggravating

This number 887-777-7888 has been calling my phone several times a day for the past week. Normally I don't answer, so I decided to answer just to see who it was. When I picked up I heard the other line hang up. I will be calling Sprint in the morning to get a block. Funny thing is that a couple of my friends have been receiving these calls and they all have iPhones. I hope this isn't a iPhone thing.

Not just an iPhone. I have a crappy lil' Boost Mobile motorola and I got 2 calls just today.
