There was a note on my front door with the message: Important, Please call, (a name written in that cannot be read) this phone number written in and then the message please be ready to give your account number. No company name, no logo. When I did call the man kept asking for my bank account number and my SS so he could figure out who I was so he could tell me what I want. NO WAY! Has scam written all over it.

I got one of those hang tags on my door. A young man in a yellow sports car with dark tinted window hung it on my door. As he left, I saw him holding his phone up to my house. He was either taking pictures or video of my house. The only text written on the hanging tag was the phone number (888-393-1352). It smells like a scam. I am wondering why he only came to my house but didn't put the hanging tag on other people's houses.

He did the same thing where I'm living as what happened with Julie. He was starting to take apic, saw my daughter and put his camera away. He was about 26-28 dirty blonde curlier hair, 5'11 to 6ft tall, pale, chunkier, driving a sparkly deep red Sebring like vehicle with a sunroof.

The same thing happened at our home. I called the number and demanded they tell me who they were. It is Fifth Third Bank.I gave them no imformation and sternly warned them about the practice of sending kids to do this the boy that sneaked his way to my door was maybe 17...

Received the same yellow envelope on my door today. It's not 5/3, though they will answer the phone with 5/3's name. I called my mortgage person at 5/3 and she confirmed it is not them but a scam.

This just happened to me this morning. A brunette with dark rimmed glasses in a white Subaru Outback left a note hanging from my door with a message inside to call the number. It was in both English and Spanish. The outside of the envelope had my address and #16 written on the back. The name on the inside was only my last name. This happened in Muskegon, Mi around 10 AM.

Same thing happened to me and had 5/3 on it. I called seemed legiate but didn't give info. My husband texted me in time telling me it was a scam. Mine was a yellow envelope and had 5/3 and this number on it. Said important in English and in Spanish. I now am going to call 5/3 and let them know. Can we say "identity theif" the movie. I'm just sad I didn't get a good look. I was home all day.makes me sick.

This happened to me today. I called fifth third directly. They confirmed that this is part of their process to contact their customers who are behind on their mortgage. Seems strange but it was definitely them.

Just got the same envelope on my door. Called the number and got a very rude man asking for my personal info. I didn't give them any and am going to contact my bank in the morning.
