Said they were selling the Federal employees almanac. not the number on the web site where I can order it. Are they someone peruseing facebook, etc and then calling to sell something and get perosnal credit card info? If I want to order this, I'll go to their website and get it as I do with all purchases from home. The websites I know!

Another magazine subscription call (Manufacturing Engineering Magazine). Our company gets these calls continually and it doesn't matter if the call is accepted or declined the junk mail and piles of magazines just keep coming. A total waste! Caller was very polite, but PLEASE STOP!

I then asked him who he was and what does he want. I then heard heavy breathing from the other end of the phone along with some strange noises. He said his name was Lee and he wants to verify my social security number for a better home mortgage or debt consolidation loan rate. I hung up the phone and he called right back. He said he we continue calling back if I don't give him my S.S.N. to complete the paper work he has on my P.O.C. (potential credit offer). So I gave my S.S.N. to him and he never called back! This is a 'calling agency' for what are known as "free throw" magazines. They usually call people who are qualified to receive the magazine. If you're an engineer, you're qualified to get a free engineering magazine. If you're a banker, you --- well, you get the picture. Some of the industry magazines are worthwile and they are free. I never answer them though. I don't need anything else to read or clutter my desk.

this number calls my job everyday about 10 times a day, so when they called today i interrogated them. it was some woman trying to explain how they are trying to offer free subscriptions. i asked her does it take 10 calls a day to offer a subscription and she tried to tell me she didn't call 10 times a day. i told her someone does and our company does not want the subscription and to please take us off of the list. she says ok, we'll see.

No such thing as a legit telemarketer. They are people who couldn't get jobs as street [***].
