This is a clear scam. The IRS would not call you regarding being sued. You would get something in the mail or be served papers.
False IRS Scam demanding you call them back concerning a serious enforcement action against you.The IRS always send written correspondence to reach you. The IRS does not use recorded statements or leave you damning voicemails.
Calling to say we had to call back because of having to appear before a magistrate judge and to call back urgent!!

Someone using this number called, when I answered there seemed to be there cut I said "hello" twice and no one said a thing. I hung up. If it was a collector they would not only answer but keep you on the line for as long as it took.

Yes. The caller claimed to represent Document Delivery Services and threatened to serve me with papers from a fifteen year old debt. A check with my local County Clerk’s Office revealed no evidence of lawsuit filed.
