They are at it again. New number : 972-546-7185Anita Mathis - Investigator at Fraud and worthless Check division. They openly admit that they are not debt collectors. These people are so dumb. I like to call them every half hour and just drops fnords so that they get tired of me calling them - that way they know how it feels. Voice mail says that the name is investigator Miller - leave a message with a case number.
I received another call from this number from Sarah Miller, said she was from Fraud Legal Check Recovery Services. Told me that she was sending my case back to my county and a warrant would be issued for my arrest and that when I get picked up and thrown in jail my debt would be even more, closer to 3000. called her back and she told me she was just on the phone with the police securing their assistance with picking me up from my job in a couple of days. I asked her to send me information on why my debt was so much, she said no, I asked her to explain the break down of the fees, she said no, said that I was already sent this information and she couldn't even tell me my address. I have checked with local law enforcement agencies and my debt is not in the court from the original debt collector.oh yeah and i went as far as to tell them that the amount they wanted me to pay was too much per pay check and that I wanted to go to court and get my pay check garnished, she, Ms Wilcott, told me that I wouldnt want that because now everybody at your job will know your business.Well if "you" can't garnish my wages then lets go to court and have them take a fair amount of money out at a time and that will stop you from calling me!
Crazy [***] girl called me from this number as well. She had me so mad I can't remember her name. About 3 months ago I received a call from a different number claiming I owed money to Ace Cash Express and they were trying to collect the debt. 2 problems here. One it's not on my credit record. Two, I've never even heard of the place. The guy i was talking to insisted he had all the information proving that I took the loan. So I politely asked for his address so that i could send a certified letter to him requesting copies of the debt. He said he would have his attorney contact me the next day. I never received another phone from him. Somehow, he got my mom's number and had her so confused and convinced her to pay it. My mom wasn't aware of consumer rights at the time. But she knows now.Yesterday, some idiot guy called from a 404 number claiming I wrote out a bad check in 2008 for.........Ace Cash Express. I told him he was full of [***] and his company had already ripped my mom off for $500 and some odd dollars. He wanted me to verify my social security number and I told him I wasn't verifying anything until I get a copy of this debt. He said, well we have the case number and everything here. I said I don't care..I want a copy of this debt. He then interrupted and said well I will just turn this over to the state and hung up on me.Today, I got a call from the rudest freaking woman I have ever talked to. This number, 972-546-7185, was where she called from. Said I had a felonious bad check wrote out to....Ace Cash Express...and she was calling to see how I wanted to handle this. I said she was full of [***] and told her I've never even heard of the place. She interrupted and said but we have you on video and drivers license. I told her you all ain't got my [***] on camera doing anything, especially writing out a check to Ace Cash Express. I asked again, what was the address so that I could send a certified letter requesting a copy of the debt. Again, she rudely interrupted and said I don't have time for this and I'll send this to your county to take care of and that I could expect a summons/or officer within 48 hours. I was in the process of saying to her, so you all are denying my request for the copy of the debt? But she hung up before I had a chance to finish. It was a total harassment job over a debt that plain and simple just isn't mine. If this 'bad check" was indeed bad and it happened in 2008...I'm 100% positive that I would have gotten a summons before now. And for the record, I keep all of my bank statements. I went back from 2006 all the way up to last month, and checked every single statement, every single micro copy of the checks....there's nothing that has EVER been wrote out to Ace Cash Express and NONE of my checks have bounced. And just as soon as I figure out how or if I can press charges I am going to. I mean, if I owed this debt why not send me a copy of it?? That's a FEDERAL LAW. Anyways...that's my rant for today.BTW...if any of you debt collectors read this...here's some advice. Send a freaking copy of the debt if they truly owe it. It's not that hard. You all claim to have all the information on your desk. Get an envelope and mail it out. Only takes 5 minutes at the most.
