I also received a call from this number and I got a recorded message saying that this was an invalid extension at the Dept. of Labor

People please be aware that the savvy telemarketers can actually change the number that appears on our caller ID's. This is illegal but it is done. They can transcribe the number we see on our ID's if they have the proper equipment. Another sneaky way to get people to answer unwanted incoming calls.

Female voice identified self as Meredith Hochmann(sp?)from Dept of Labor and to call back on 202-693-8741. Not calling this number.They called my cell phone. My # is on Do Not Call listing.The name they called about was a Danny Arbello (sp?)

Caller claims to be Solomon Chang with the Department of Labor. Says he is a Program Analyst and that his direct dial number is 202 693-3464. Claims several former employees of a company I managed made application for unemployment benefits based on company work being sent overseas. Wanted me to fill out a form to substantiate their claims. He would not provide the names of the employees due to privacy issues.

It is the US Dept of Labor. they called me in response to an email I sent regarding a COBRA question.

some woman says she is calling from the department of labor, but she wanted the purchasing dept, I DONT GET IT.

Saw a missed call from this # on my cell - no voicemail. Not sure if it's telemarketing or a genuine call from the DOL. But I'm not calling back (especially given what one of the posters-Kujayhawk69-below said, "I work for the Department of Labor, and this is a 'generic' extension for outgoing calls."
