Scam trying to give me a 9200.00 grant never to be paid back in my life and the foreign guy asked if I wanted to know if I wanted to know how my name and number got picked...... I said no. And he immediately hung up in my face.
An Indian sounding man called me from this # claiming that my phone number was chosen to receive $9,000 and I wouldn't have to pay this back. When I questioned this, he immediately hung up on me. SCAM OF THE DAY!!!
Called me while I was on my way home from work. I always tell people that cannot pronounce my name that I'm not available. When I asked for a message, he simply said (sounding nervous) "I -I - I called. Okay." And hung up. Very weird.
Called 2 times yesterday. I was unable to answer the call at the time they called and the caller did not leave any VM. I returned the call to the same number and a recorded message advises that the number I called is not a working number. My caller ID reports that the call is from 'Bainbridge Island, WA.'
Called me offering grant money ($9,000) claimed to be with US Government - I asked a few questions, advised her that her caller ID was not DC, that I am on the DNC list and she terminated the call by yelling the following at me, "Do you have no manners?! Go to h$ll, you rude b*tch!" That was a first for me, for a scam operator to be that way. Any chance someone can help me find a way to stop this?
I get a lot of these calls. Call them back and it says "non working number." I am sick of it!
The voice was masked, they asked if my name was scott, I said yes, they hung up.Calling my bank now.
