Just called the number back and it doesn't ring. Just says "press 9 to be put on the do not call list." and that's all. Nothing else - no option to talk to anyone.
called, but left no message, Obviously car warranty based on previous info. I've been getting a lot of those lately from different numbers. Based on what I know, car information is public record and usually why info can be old. (if you bought a used vehicle they may be using the original owners name, and they will not know if you have sold the car in question) The only thing they don't know about your car is the mileage. They know make, model, and year. I once stupidly told them my approximate mileage and they said "great you qualify". The following day a different number called me with the same mileage that I had given them the day before but claimed that they had not called me. "Well if that was so how come you know my "exact mileage" that I randomly made up yesterday?" Hmmm?

Someone using this number called, when I answered there seemed to be there cut I said "hello" twice and no one said a thing. I hung up. If it was a collector they would not only answer but keep you on the line for as long as it took.

Yes. The caller claimed to represent Document Delivery Services and threatened to serve me with papers from a fifteen year old debt. A check with my local County Clerk’s Office revealed no evidence of lawsuit filed.
