I received a call form this number, and its my friend in jail, don't worry about it if you accept it will be free, because the inmates buys the calling card and you will not be charged for anything they can only call you for 10 minutes.

i just within the hr got 8 calls from this number..hmm

I got this call this evening says it is from a correctional center. Call was collect. I didn't accept it.

It's a number that is used by Evercom so if you know someone in jail anywhere across the US this or any other number that is used by Evercom can come up on caller id...I am in Illinois and the person who called is in Illinois too, but when they called it came up as this California number

Recieved 2 calls on my home phone and 2 on my cell phone. Don't know anyone in LA didn't accept any of them. Don't know how they got my numbers. Really ticks me off that someone is trying to scam all of the time even from JAIL!!!

i this call at 8:30 friday night my son is in cumberland ,md jail i don,t if it was him trying to call or not

i just recieved a call from this number it is a lincoln county jail in california i know the caller lol..

I didnt recognize the number so I didnt answer the call and no vm msg. After reading the above comments, I think it is weird since I have a cell phone and dont know how they get this number.

I received several calls from this number before finally answering. It's true - the number is a Jail calling card - glad I answered, it was my friend needing help.
