Bridget from Cardholder Services. Reported it to the Do Not Call web site.What's interesting is the number they called from is legitimate. If you call it, you get "Hello, thank you for calling. If you would like to be placed on the do not call list....."

Repeated calls from this number..I do not answer. My cell phone audibly notifies me of the number calling, if they do not leave a msg, I check the number on the internet. The next step I take is to add this number to my contacts list with the name "scammer". If they call again, my cell phone audibly notifies me that "scammer" is calling. I do not answer any phone calls unless I know who is calling. And remember there are "spoofed number" callers as well. Think before you answer. Never answer these callers, if you do, then they know they have reached you and they will continue to attempt to make a connection to you phone via many different telephone numbers. Eventually they all stop.One more thing, do you enter sweepstakes and do surveys? Not good ideas to give any info to anyone.

Can't tell you how many times I've had calls from this number on my cellphone which is on the DO NOT CALL list. Does this mean anything to anyone? How can this be stopped?

I am retired from the phone company and know that there are ways that these calls could be stopped. Unfortunately, current laws prevent phone carriers from implementing blocking methodology. Currently, the only entities that can block a call are the people receiving them.Most of these scammers use automatic dialers and make the call to a sequence of numbers; one after another after another both to landline numbers and cell phone numbers. They also can make those calls go through Caller ID Spoofers so the number you see on your Caller ID (if you subscribe to the service) are NOT the number they are really calling from.

Thanks for the heads up got a call from them and did not answer.

Pretended they had my credit card info and payment record. Haven't had a card for ten years.

Called my cell & didn't leave a message 'cause I didn't answer. Thanks to all who posted that they are scammers.

This number calls me at least once a day. When I answer they don't even say anything they just hang up! I won't be answering these calls anymore. It's obviously some type of scam, from what I've read here.

Just phoned. I let it go to vmx after reading these posts and blocked the number. Thanks for the intel, all.
