My mom answered the phone today from Freeman Randall at 4:54 pm and got the woman with the thick accent. Mom told me that she was asking about Diabetes, what kind of insurance she was on, etc. etc. No matter how many times I have told her not to tell people her business, mom answered all their questions and said that they told her "something" that would happen in 48 hours. She said the woman had such a thick accent she couldn't understand her and had to keep asking to repeat herself. I called the number, and it's disconnected. So I guess we'll see, since she told them everything she knows. I preach that she shouldn't ever answer anything if she hasn't called first. Oh well. If anything happens in 48 hours I will let ya know.
this number has called my phone today 9 different times never leaving a message seem to have called just about every hour glad i wasnt home to answer it getting kida sick and tired of these kinda calls coming in hope there is a way to put an end to it
the best way to stop these calls are to block them. if you have att you can get or already have call blocker. it is *60. simply type in *60 and follow the instructions. it does work. we have a new office number and get a ton of former bill collectors from the previous owner of the number. who ever you are using for service has this feature so if you are not using att then contact your provider.
I had the exact same thing. I almost hung up because I could hear her talking to a man in the background. Don't remember what they said now but it seemed to be casual conversation. When she did realize I was on the phone she asked if I had diabetis I told her no and she asked if anyone in my household had diabetis, again I said no and she said God Bless you and hung up.
I wonder why some people get a live person and some people don't? I can understand about computer generated calls, where they call numerous numbers at once and when the first one answers, the others hang up --- but you would think that after 9 calls in 6 hours, that I would get *someone* eventually. Mappie, I sincerely hope that nothing happens regarding your mother. I reported this number and everything I knew concerning it, including information from these testimonials, to our local sheriff's department. This name and number is on their list. I am also calling the annoyance calls bureau tomorrow and reporting it, as well. These people are obviously out to glean personal information and/or money, and I would bet my husband's entire pension that they are *not* from the American Diabetes Association, as it would seem that they claim. Mappie, by chance does your mother have diabetes? I am just curious to see if everyone they've been calling has a diabetic living at their residence. My husband is, and I just wonder if they've somehow tapped into our personal information, such as if we've ever applied for anything concerning diabetes online - like information about the disease or product offers. I would appreciate any feedback from the posters here, just to compare notes. In any case, they've been reported, and I don't intend on stopping just with the police department. Like I said earlier, I smell a rat - I think that they're crooks.
I have blocked this caller and will not receive any more calls. I am on a do not call registry but this is listed as a residence and is not affected by this service.
I've received several of these calls. It's always an older sounding woman with an accent, possibly East European. She says she's calling from Senior Diabetic Services. Says a friend or relative of mine recommended me to them on line. First time I asked who and she hung up. Second time I recognized the voice and number and asked why she hung up on me the other day. She said this is the first time she'd called. I told her I recognized her voice and recited back to me what she told me the previous call and asked if I had it right. She said the connection was bad and she could hardly hear me. I told her it wasn't and that I could hear her just fine. I asked again why she had hung up on me and who it was that had given her my name and number. She hung up again.
