Its not just cell phones theyre calling. Its home phones too. Needs to be stopped & fined.
Same here, Hasta la vista as a message is not nice and sounds more menacing and sinister than typical solicitation calls, definitely not funny or appreciated. Caller was on the line when I answered, but never acknowledged their identity or purpose. Called back and got message from terminator
Saw the unfamiliar number on caller IS so I left it go to the voice mail where no message was left.Since it appears that little is being done to stop telemarketers, the best defense is to get your phone number "blacklisted" in their system. Blacklisted numbers are those that that cost the telemarketer money and will not yield a sale. The best way to do this is to give the telemarketer a story that you or someone else is interested in their product and then find an excuse to leave the phone (someone at door, teapot boiling on stove, need to get the interested person to come to the phone, etc.) and just leave the phone off-hook. These people are under the gun to make money, and wasting their time is the worse thing that can happen to them. Blacklisting your number insures that they won't waste time on you again.I have been doing this and so far it has worked on every call. (I now even look forward to telemarketer calls. I know, I got a warped sense of humor!)
All I have is a cheapo samsung trac phone but it does have a rejected number feature under my contacts. So now when I get these calls I put the numbers in there.
I recieved a phone call from this number asking my opinion on democrats handleing our economic crisis. I called the number back and its arnold schwartzenager saying asta la vista baby over and over!!! Kinda scarey!!!
