They keep calling and hanging up. I zm altrady on the no vall list

The other day I got a notice to sign up for jury duty. It was a questionnaire to see if they would select me for jury duty. The space for a phone number I wrote NA for Not Available because I do not give out my cell phone number it is a pay-as-you-go emergency only phone. I got a feeling the court knew I had a cell phone and called me at this number to see if I would answer. I answered and no one was on the phone. But usually I don’t answer the phone if I don’t know who’s calling. It was a familiar area code and number and that’s why I answered. I didn’t want to give the number to the court because I probably would not answer it and my phone doesn’t work unless it is plugged in and charged. Where it says phone number, I don’t think it means, “Skype number”, “pay-as-you-go cell phone number” or “Magic Jack” number. Phone number means a home number that is free for people to call you, generally Ma Bell. I should not have to pay for the court to call me. I was upset enough that I had to put a $.40 stamp on the jury duty return questionnaire notice. I hope they charge me with lying on the application so I can fight this in court and make them pay people when they call them on their pay as you go phone and make them pay postage when you return the questionnaire. The court owes me $.40 for the return stamp.

Got a call on my cell & no one talked, they called me a while back. I don't give my cell # out to anyone since I still have a home phone. How did someone get it?

I answered this call today. 7/1/2015. Robo-message telling me I had been selected for a free cruise for 2. I needed to complete a survey by pressing 1. I obviously hung up.

I love my landline, but if the phone company won't do something about this and they actually promote it for $$$$ I am gonna cancel my phone. I have my answer machine off which stops most repeat calls from numbers like this. i have a call blocker for those who do repeat call. I try and pick up after one ring and hang up if I can tell it is a scam that seems to stop the robo return caller. This number however cam up on my caller ID as wireless caller! I usually answer those. Not anymore, if I don't know the number, too bad for the caller. Such a sad world!I so appreciate this site where we can share with one another to help see if the call is a scam! Thank you to 800 notes as well as all of you who submit comments!!! Call blocked!!!
