they used to come up on caller id, but i never answered it. One day i called them back to see who they were and the woman said pioneer credit. i said i had the wrong number. now they call and it comes up as unlisted or private number!

I received a call asking for a neighbor who lives just across the street. I asked if they were looking for the who is a pediatrician, and the caller replied "yes, do you know how to reach him?" I told him the individual's number was listed, and he asked me if I would give him a message. My answer was no! He then "warned" me our call may have been monitored. I wished him a good day. He said thank you, and then urged me to vote for McCain. Weird!

That is weird

My husband and I work together in a office/warehouse. I was recently approached by my boss about a suspicious fax that had come in about my husband. It was a fax from PCR Inc. looking for a verification of employment with his SSN stamped on the front of it. (This is a public fax in the office) The sheet was also wanting to know the hours he worked,how much he makes,his position,when did he start,his most recent home address and his most recent home phone number. At the bottom of the sheet it says please fill out then fax it back to them. Then it says, (Optional: For release information purpose only. If required please pass along to employee.) Something tells me they shouldn't be doing this. I then called and let them know I was his wife. and what was this regarding. Overall they want a bunch of fees to pay off a bill. They also want your financial info. And it seems that if you send enough faxes to random companies in hopes to receive peoples personal info could result in some sort of identity theft. Scary.

Its a company trying to get people to pay back student loans because it is a subsidiary to Sallie Mae. They will garnish wages if a payment is not made. Because Sallie Mae is a federal company they can search your place of business by your social security number.

I kept getting calls from this number (866)-3619567 and they were asking for my husband.. I asked who they were and they wouldnt give me any information whatsoever, they just kept telling me to get a lawyer... i kept asking for the reason and they wouldnt tell me... they used to call 2 to 3 times a day and when my husband picked up the phone she was claiming to be calling from a government agency..i found theyre office adress and its Moorestown Office308 W Rt 38Moorestown, NJ 08057(866) 372-6840.. I Dont know what to do.. is this real??? do i really have to pay this people money i dont have ?? or is this a scam??? Please someone help/..

My human resources director received a call wanting to verify my employment; fortunately she did not release any info and told them she had to have signed permission from me. They faxed a form that requests my current address, phone #, etc. It had a SSN on it, but not mine. Thinking they are just fishing for info and maybe every once in awhile they get lucky?
