Caller ID is Brooklyn. If I answer, it says "to accept, press 1. To leave a message, press 2." Idiot (me) has tried both with no effect. Except that it keeps happening, about once each day. No person, no recording, nothing.

This number called our business today at 1051 hours. Caller ID said only "New York NY" so I knew immediately it was yet another spammer/scammer trying to "lend" our company money. A guy asked to speak to the owner, using his last name, "Mr. [name]", which was a refreshing change over the ones who use a first name only, as if trying to imply the boss and he are best buddies. I replied bluntly, "No." He paused to digest that and then asked why that was the case. I informed him that the boss doesn't work in the office and we're not interested in anything they're selling. Another pause, then he chuckled and wished me a good day. At least he was a pleasantly polite spammer/scammer.

Called asked for the business owner by first name. I asked what company he was with, couldn't make it out. He asked to speak with owner, I asked what it was regarding. He said something to the effect of F***ing Gatekeeper and hung up.

This number has called me pretty much every single day for the last two weeks. I have spoken to someone several times who asks to speak to the business owner. I've told them multiple times that it's a private cell number, not a business and to remove me from their list. Today, some a-hole (Indian guy) called, same spiel. I asked him to take me off the list and to stop calling. He said "okay, I'll call back tomorrow." I told him tomorrow not call me again, and his response was "okay, tomorrow," and hung up on me. Long story short, I added th number to my auto reject list.

And they called yet again, this time, today at 1640 hours. I saw "New York NY" on the caller ID and immediately knew it was a spam call for a "business loan." I let the recorder pick up. They did not leave a message. Apparently they're too stupid to understand "not interested." They can keep trying all they want, it won't get them anywhere except maybe getting an emergency whistle blown into the receiver seeing they were already informed we are not interested. To me, that makes them fair game for my whistle if they continue calling. And they will continue calling, because that's what scam artists and shady companies do.

It is better to block the phone number instead of requesting to be taken off their list. When you do this, it confirms the caller has contacted a viable number. They most likely will call more often and may sell your phone number to other scammers.

Keeps calling my business asking to talk to the owner. Very creepy!
