ACM services. man on another line was native US english speaker. Said they were doing a pool about investing. Asked if i was investor. I asked where they got my info and he replied Dun & Bradstreet. He was polite when i asked to be removed from their call list.

Robodialer called my cell phone, despite # being on "Do Not Call" list for ages.The Do Not Call list is a joke, and crooks like these ignore it with impunity.When their minimum-wage telemarketer failed to pick up within 5 seconds, I hung up. (That delay is a sure sign that a machine is dialing; the people at the other wait for an indication that a potential mark is on the line before they connect.)Assigned the number to "Junk" in my contact list, so "Junk" is what will show on my phone next time these jerks dial it.

Called May 11; did not leave message.Thanks to all that posted here, so I know to block this number.

1733 hrs 12 Nov 13 "Connor" called with some "investment company" ... advised that he had called a number registered with Donotcall.gov and that he was now subject to criminal liability and he stated he would take my number off 'their' list 'right now' ...

Plan A should do the trick. You can always repeat it if the message fails to get across the first time.

I have these folks blocked. My call blocker showed that they called three times just now in the space of fifteen seconds. Which means they are using an autodialer.

Excellent, I just called the office number and the lady was very nice, took my number and said she would remove it immediately. If not, I will call them every time they call me and ask for a manager or VP until it stops.

Out of curiosity I checked L and J Bay Area on the internet. There is page on them on the Better Business Bureau. There are 138 complaints against them on the BBB in the last three years. In fact the BBB has both an F rating for them and has a warning out on them.The warning pretty much states they tried calling L and J Bay Area to find out why they are calling people who have told them to stop or are otherwise on the DNC. L and J Bay Area never responded.
