I used to work at a place that does the BRFS studies when I was in college, they're legit. They did get your number randomly. They use known prefixes, then do the last four digits randomly. Once a number is considered a working telephone number they try to dial you a certain amount of times.Oh, and UNMC calls FOR Montana, not from. Woman just called - Caller ID says Unknown Name. She started in on a survey pitch and I just told her that I never participated in something whose Caller ID said Unknown Name and hung up. She called back immediately, but I let it ring through. No message left. I don't care if they are legitimate or not. When they pay for my phone service, then they can call me.

Survey, might be interesting. did not know this. If this is true would be one way to give inform people making decisions. Of course you can go to the doctor and refuse to tell them what the problem is and then blame them for lousy treatment also. That way you can sit home and [***] either way.
