Got a phone call from this number, after having received a whatsapp sms with the code to verify whether I requested the access (I didn't).
Its definitely a voip# from WhatsApp. Looked it up because i didn't recognize the number. After reading these comments, i remembered i had (unsuccessfully) attempted to verify my phone with WhatsApp. Most of those messaging apps seem pretty shady. Or they're made for shady people. But kudos to this website and its users for helping me figure it out! Peace :)
