Left no voice mail when I didn't answer. I'm in NM, but this isn't my area code. I'm on the Do Not Call List. :/
This number called my cell cell. Left no message. When I tried to return the call, I got a message that said this number has been disconnected or is no longer in service. If it's disconnected, how could someone call me from it a minute ago?
I don't normally look up unknown numbers that call me. Sometime, I do, like today, and ended up here. These callers are scammers that can call from any line (likely a computer VoIP call) and use software to spoof (show) any originating number. If you don't recognize the number and they don't leave a message, you know it is not someone that knows you or has a special message about finding your wallet. :) If they call again, just ignore it. If you are so pissed by their repeated attempts you can answer the call and play along with them initially with false information and drill them about who they are etc. Or, you can have fun with them and get even. You can start a diatribe about how lonely you are and so glad that you now have someone to talk to. Tell them about your dog, cat or other pet and talk to your pet while you are on the phone with them. Be creative. Begging them not to hang up and stay on the line with you is a sure fire way to get them to hang up. They will get pissed but you will have some fun.Don't get annoyed, Turn you anger into fun for you and the satisfaction that YOU are in control. Otherwise, just ignore it.Just my 2 cents. :)

Call came in at 3:41P.M. on February 9, 2026. No spoken message was left. I checked the missed call box that read not in service. I checked the phone and there was a dial tone. I assumed the call was a scam.
