Received a call today on a message phone I left at the Dr. I agree with the others . There is no need to be rude as a collector. Anyone can get your personal information and we have to be careful even more. Don't act like you are the FBI, you're a collector.

I'm a personal assistant. I often answer my boss' phone for her, and her number is forwarded to my cell when she's out of town. I got this crazy call today from a Tony talking about my boss and demanding that *I* was her. He said he wouldn't tell me who HE was until I told him who I was. I did, and explained I'm her assistant and she's very busy. He said "Well can I talk to her TODAY?" I said, no- not until you tell me what this is in regards to. So if you aren't willing to talk to me, you certainly aren't going to be able to speak with her.Everything I said to him, he repeated incredulously and rudely."YOU are HER assistant???" "Why does she need an assistant?"Then he said- "I lost track of her for a few months. Is she okay?"Um. I don't even know how to explain how creepy that was. I wouldn't be surprised if this guy was sitting in a van outside her house or something. Creep.I asked my boss and she didn't recognize the name or the number, and since he wouldn't tell me who he was, he's not getting much farther. Peace out, creeper!

515-224-7552 is a call from Automated Accounts Management Service. They are a collection agency for medical bills. The people are usually really nice and willing to work with you though.

It's definately a collections agency. They along with the 40 other bill collectors can call all they want, I won't pick up. Enjoy the silence!

This guy just calls me,on my cell, said "Hi Cyndy, do you still get your mail at (so and such) address?" I said, "Who is this?" He said his name was jerry (I think) from and gave out some letters real fast, then continued with my OLD address wanting me to verify it ! I told him I was not verifing NOTHING until I knew who I was talking to. Again he stated his name and the letters real fast, and insisted I verify my address. I said,"wait a minute! Who are you and what do those letters you said mean?" Again, he rattled off the address! I told him I would not tell him anything until he verified who he was and what the hell business he hads with my personal info!" He went on to say that if I was going to cuss then he would just hang up. I told him to go ahead, but if some man calls his wife and she had no clue who he was, would he want her to verify ANYTHING? This idiot said," I don't know what you are talking about, I already have your personal infomation, I just need you to tell me how to pronounce the name of the street." I told him he was insane and hung up. I checked the number via net to get the company name and info from someone else that had complained. They are a collection agency for medical bills. Goodness knows I have a ton of medical bills, and may have overlooked one. But I never not paid it when brought to my attention. It will be a cold day in hell before I pay anything to this company! I also intend to block their # from my phone and report this guy, if I can find out who to report it to. lolThis should be illegal. This guy scared the mess out of me. Can I do anything about this?

Spoken like a great employee of AAMS. Try reading the comments left here and at several other sites about "The people are usually really nice and willing to work with you though". BTW...tell your boss I am really nice and willing to work with others, when they ID themselves.
