I've also received a recent voicemail on my cell from this number reference: 530-237-2233. Voicemail states: Hi this is William Blackburn calling you from legal department Harrison Law Firm, this message is intended for ..my name..required by law..something something can't make it out..sounds indian..to contact him or have an attorney contact etc. then god bless you.

I got a call from this number today 11/15/10 on my cell! This person left a voice message saying he's Mr. William Blackburn calling from Harrison Law Firm regarding a law suit against my brother for fraud. Since I didn't come across this blog I called the number back and a guy with a thick Indian accent asked me to confirm my number that I'm calling from. In addition, he demanded that I have my brother call his law firm back. He also named my brother's friend whom he said he contacted as well in hope of getting my brother to return his call. Well I texted my bro and he said it was a scam. Beware!

I got a call today 11/15/10 for my husband saying he was with that same law firm and they were going to pursue legal action against him. My husband called him back on the 530-237-2233 number and the guy that answered sounding like he was from India or something and he wouldn't really give any info other than it's from Cash Advance USA, he owes money, and that he can't give anymore info until my husband pays! They have his social, his license#, his date of birth, work phone number, our checking account number, EVERYTHING!! We have no idea how they got it but we shut down that account immediately and will be calling the police shortly to report this. Is there anything else that can be done to stop this?

This happened today 11/17/2010heir number is now 530-230-9512 and first the "paralegal" is named Mark Sanders with a heavy or spanish accent who gave me a case # and said I was being sued for a payday loan I defaulted on with Cash Advance USA. He would not answer my questions about the loan, amount and date of loan. They somehow do have the last 4 numbers of my SS# but I did not confirm it was accurate. I asked for his boss who happened to be JOHN PETERSON (oh forgot I did get the firm name was HARRISON LAW FIRM out of Chico CA). He actually said different information than Mark Sanders (he said I would get the documents in the mail) but John said his investigation team would be at my work tomorrow to arrest me. I believe they are getting this information from an application I filled out for a payday loan recently. They say the debt is from 4 to 5 years ago...Sorry but I didn't try to get a loan until recently. So they must have an insider at one of these payday loan referral companies.John Peterson also had a heavy accent and was rude and very threatening. I called the Chico Police dept, no help and then the CA Attorney General's Office. PLEASE PLEASE file reports with them. The more times they see the name HARRISON LAW FIRM they will get the Dept of Justice to investigate them.It appears they have moved from the 415 # to the 530 area code. I will call their telephone company and let them know about this as well.Also they gave me this #530-237-2233 as their contact # even though the other one showed up on my caller id. I have tried calling them back to no avail.

i don't know this is a scam or not but, i will really appreciate the way john peterson helped me to solve my case. i don't know who mark sanders is but, i checked for harrison law firm and cash advance usa and also from my checking account in bank. officer john peterson was very polite with me and gave me each and every information regarding my case file and law suite that has been filed against my social security. he aso gave me my case file number if i am willing to opt to file the case against cash advance. i am very glad that he also gave me some payment plans. i don't understand why these people do so, they apply for payday loan and never bother to pay them back. this is very discourteous and instead these people should be send behind the bars.

John Taylor - I think you yourself are John Peterson pretending to be another fake person. Only this time, we can't hear your voice. Everyone this person posting is a fraud. John Peterson was an attorney when he called me. Now he's a Police Officer. What was Police Officer John Peterson's badge number John Taylor.And John Peterson/Taylor did you enjoy all of the phone calls my husband made back to you yesterday. The other number they called from was 530-230-9512. How is your mother doing? Did she enjoy herself?Again - to all of us who were called by the Harrison Law Firm (this firm does not exist):1) File a complaint with the CA Attorney General's Office 2) File a complaint with your state's Attorney General's Office3) File a complaint with the Federal Dept of Justice4) File a complaint with your local police department5) File a complaint with the FBI as an internet scam as that is where they have gathered your information6) File a complaint with their phone company (it is Pac Tel) do a reverse look up to verify which company to call7) Do not let them intimidate you, they are not real, they are not in an office, they are sitting inside a house (my husband could hear at least 2-3 other guys laughing in the background every time he called them back)8) Call them back as much as you can to keep their phone lines tied up and so they can't continue to try to fraud any more Americans. John Peterson told my husband he is doing this because we are poor and deserve it.Good luck to all of you and don't fall for the lies. A debt is not a criminial charge and if it doesn't get paid it only affects your credit rating. It is not a criminal offense.

They called my work today. Said he was "officer" whatever. I told him I was onto his scam, that I'll have the FBI trace their call and asked if he enjoyed the calls from my husband yesterday. Then I hung up.He called me right back and told me he'd give me One Million dollars if the FBI could trace him or I could pay him $500 to leave me alone.EVERYONE DO NOT FALL FOR THEIR TRICKS!~They have admitted that they are harassing me to get $$$ out of me, nothing more. And John Taylor folks...keep on calling my work, I won't get fired.

every one here are just playing pranks........i got a call from this number and was informed by william hector that there were supposedly some allegations on me, this was true when i inquired... And thanks to u all, got some documents from them when i told them i saw all this stuff written about them on here..... so put a check before u r misguided... verify from ur side before taking any steps....

What a scam..do not respond to these people. They are trying to lift your social security number and your money

I received a call earlier today about that I was approved for a loan. I asked to be removed removed from the call list and that I did not apply for a loan.In about 20 minutes the sames voice but different number called me stating that I had a law suit against me and that I was being recorded. They said to not interupt or ask any questions. I stated that I do not wish to be contacted on my phone and any further coorespondance needed to be sent to my address. They had my address on file. What is this company and how do they have my information? We need to report them.
