Just called an when answered a phone started ringing on the other end. I hung up thereafter.

An investigation is being conducted in response to numerous complaints from local businesses and citizens as to the validity of individuals requesting and obtaining donations and other services in the name of the Police Protection Fund. The preliminary investigation revealed that certain individuals in Florida are operating as telephone solicitors, utilizing pledge sheets and mailings bearing the name and emblem of a fake organization. They conduct telephone solicitations to illegally obtain donations from Florida businesses and citizens.Don't be afraid to report this scam to the Florida police and media. They dont like this kind of stuff. These people are using fraudulent techniques. The courts in several states have been able to stop them, but only if we alert the local police, sheriff and media.

I received a phone call yesterday from this number and like many of the other posters, no message was left. Lately, I have received a number of these calls from various area codes and phone numbers. Sometimes I even picked up the call to see who was calling. On one occasion, I talked to a representative who represented herself as calling from a missing children's fund. She tried to back me into a corner to agree to a donation. When I told her I do not make financial decisions without consulting my wife, she tried to belittle me. I asked her to send me information in the mail and she said they do not send out information without confirming a donation would be made, since sending mail costs money. She stated they would continue to call me. I refused to commit to a donation and amount and she eventually decided to end the call. I stopped picking up they stopped calling.

They keep calling, & ask for Valerie... I tell them they have the wrong number, but apparently they think I'm lying because they don't take "MY" number out of their database. Then.. before hanging up, I get,. "Well, can I have your name, so I can update our database so your number is with your name?"DO I SOUND F&*%$^#ing STUPID OVER THE PHONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! STOP CALLING MY NUMBER...NOTE: I do know this site is a complaint site (so to speak) for all dead-beat companies who harass citizens at home. I'm just venting ;)

I have now received 5 calls from this number in the past 4 days. I refuse to answer these calls. IIf you call the number back, the mailbox is full. I am reporting this to the Florida Police.

Called my mother and left a heavy breathing sound and noise's for 30 secs.

I have had six call in the past 30 days from this number. Seems to me that this is harassment at it's worst. That number is (561) 845-3750 Police Protection Fund

At least once a week I receive two calls from this number, tonight it happened again. They ask if this is Valerie, I say no, they hang up. I return called the number and as always the mailbox is always full. Odd if this was a legit company. It's been happening since around Nov.2010 and it's now Feb 2011. Enough already!I feel like they are taping our yes or no's ..maybe to mince their queston of who we are in order to get personal info. I would suggest saying 'NO' even if it your name asked for just in case.

Asked for my wife and I said not home and they hung up. I called back and mailbox is full. I'm marking my caller Id to say don't pick up or I;ll answer "f___ off"!
