Beware, this is a call from criminals. First they asked for someone by a name I have not used in 25 years. Then they proceeded to tell me I 'have a problem with my computer'. This is a total SCAM. They do it to hack into your computer and steal your private information. If you are smart enough to check this site, you probably wouldn't fall for it anyway. ;-)
100% agree with above comment. They wanted my stepdad to turn on his computer because there was a problem with it. They called yesterday which was when they talked to him, and they called back tonight but he let the machine pick up. Do not answer!!
Caller ID said they were calling out of Kerry, MS. Since I never answer numbers I don't recognize, I got a message that. Other than a very irritated "Hello!" at the beginning, was 24 seconds of background noice. I get a lot of calls like this. After my phone number was stolen last year, I'm always suspicious and constantly on the lookout for numbers that just feel hinky. Which are most of them anymore.
Too bad that happened to you. However, not surprised. They are criminals after all. Take a deep breath and let it go.
