Went by Harry Mcgregor, property manager renting an apartment in San Jose, CA on Craigslist. Unfortunately, I didn't find this website in time and fell for the "transfer a deposit and lock the apartment down" scam. Used real photos and apartment details from the property's actual management company. Even provided a legitimate looking 6 page lease. BE SMARTER THAN ME AND DON'T FALL FOR IT!!

They didn’t answer when I called. But similar situation to the other person. They were advertising two different apts on Craigslist. The one I was interested in they said I couldn’t view til 6/2 but that I should “lock it down” before someone else did. More sneaky than the scams in LA because their set up is almost believable!!
Posed as Jeremy Johnson listing a WeHo apt at 1214 N Clark St. Apt. 11. Thank god I found this site before securing the apt, as it was fishy and they wanted money to secure the place before seeing it
