Today I received a phone call from my credit card company asking if we had made purchases from "Facebook". Of course, we hadn't. Please check your bank statements and if you have anything listed "Facebook" that has the phone number 650-618-7714 (don't bother calling it.....it's disconnected) I would call your bank and cancel your card immediately. We had charges totalling over $300. I know that amount doesn't come close to some of the dollars I've seen in thiese posts. We had 3 charges.......over 3 days......each amount getting larger and larger.

My credit card was attacked today by this same # 650-618-7714, Facebook and for $12.98... I know it's not much, but according to previous posts, the charges could continue and get larger. I just cancelled the card an am in contact with my bank at this moment to file a complaint.

I received a courtesy call from my credit card company that i got through my local bank. The call was automated and was asking me to verify a charge that wanted to go through my account through my debit card. Since i couldn't remember i asked to be transferred to rep. Once she told me it was a charge from Facebook CNY with this number associated 650 618 7714. i asked her to deny the charge as i do not even have or have had facebook. Turned out it was too late and the charge went through. i tried calling the number but it is a non working number. I have cancelled by debit card and the bank is working on filling out proper documentation to refund me the fee charged.

Palo Alto listed as caller. Didn't answer. This must be one of those theft rings that uses info on you if you answer. Answering unknown calls allows scammers to get info when they get a live person. Never answer an unknown call.

Received fraudulent facebook charges using this phone number. Arg!

Checked with my bank after viewing two unauthorized transactions (under $50 total) on my account to Facebook (haven't been on Facebook in 5 years). The transactions had not gone through. My bank said there was another transaction for over $200 they were watching that did not go through. Called the number associated with the charges and got a recording that the number was not in service. Called my bank back and immediately cancelled my card.

Happened to me, luckily it's a small account so they didn't get much but they did withdrawal funds twice. Ridiculous.

I was just charged twice for a total amount of $75.30. My bank statement said facebook and when I tried calling the number it says I dialed it wrong.

I did not receive a call from this number, but this is the contact number listed for a fraudulent charge/transaction against one of my credit cards. When I actually called this phone number, I got a garbled message saying: "This number is not in use." I'm making this comment just as an FYI.

22 illegal charges to my Visa card during January 2016 which were just caught. Card has been cancelled. Filed report with bank and local police department. Bill entry was listed as Facebook and the phone number 650-618-7714. I do not use Facebook.
