Received a call from 706-357-4788. They refused to identify who they were calling on behalf of. They said my first name, then asked me to confirm my identity. I refused. Asked who it was calling. They claimed their name was Jordan and said they are calling from Athens Georgia and work for a private business . They would not give any other information so I informed them that even debt collectors identify themselves and don't just ask for a persons information with out some kind of proof that the caller isn't a scam. Then I hung up. Because they kept insisting I couldn't find out who it was until I answered their questions. I did call this number back out of curiosity and it goes to an automated message saying that this is a debt collector and that the call is being recorded before immediately going to a voice mail saying "the person at extension is unavailable" It is suspicious because not once during the recordings do they identify what collection agency it is or even say the extension number for the voicemail. And I tried 3 times and each time it says the same thing and no one answers.
