Called and left a voice mail with a long reference number without telling me the name of the business she was calling from. Have no idea who this is. Also sent a letter claiming we have an unpaid medical bill; when I called our hospital, they said this group does NOT handle their billing. Strange.

Just received a call from Karen on my cell. Same story, gave me a reference number on my voicemail and asked me to call. I was in a meeting, but I called back afterwards.They were handling a bill that I was making payments on from University of Tennessee Hospital. I don't like them calling since I have been making regular payments, but at least they were not some type of scam or con artist. Just wanted to post updated info.

Thanks everyone. I always check sites like this to find out who calls. I never answer unfamiliar numbers, but find out, then never answer them. If I don't answer, it's because I personally have no intention of being scammed or paying anyone I'm not already paying. I enjoy cheating these businesses of money, especially medical related. It's my universal health care. I tell them straight out that I have no money, no insurance, and no intention of paying anything. Same with education.

Received a call from a Matt at 1-800-287-6146. We have a service that blocks calls and somehow he got through. Said it was for my husband and he, Matt, was from some medical records or something medical. Left a reference number. We are not calling back. 1-800-287-6146.

Person just called. Caller ID picked it up. I don't answer anything that's labeled "toll free." Disgruntled-sounding woman left a reference number for my husband to call. Interesting thing: we live in the church's parsonage. They didn't just pick our number from the phone book. That's disturbing. Won't be investigating. Won't be answering either.

left acc. number. called back but no one available. patient financial service. call ended after about 5 minutes. called back. still no luck getting a representive. going to block number if no one is available.

I keep calling this number it tells me to hold on to get a Person and it cancels my call

I KEEP CALLING AND GET A MESSAGE TO HOLD ON AND I WILL GET A PERSON TALK TO AND IT KEEPS CANCELLING MY CALL ...I WILL REPORT THIS TO THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU FOR FALSE INFORMATION

asked for my better half by name. Said we had a $15 bill from over a year ago. Wanted me to take care of it with a credit card. Said we maybe missed a co-pay, of our Medicare and Cigna ins. WE DO NOT HAVE CIGNA... NEVER HAVE ! Sounds like a SCAM

Got a call on my cell phone from 800-287-6146 who left a message. The person said this call is for (named one of our 12 grandchildren), asked for a call back, then said the number very fast and soft. Found the number on phone and looked it up. Thanks for the information about this number. How they found my cell phone and knew the name of our grandchild is scary.
