I received two texts from this number indicating an account had been added authorizing the transfer of money. this is not a usaa number.

Wife received a TEXT or her cell phone allegedly from USAA stating her accounts were locked until they could verify her identity. They provided this number as the contact number. Its a scam.

My husband got this message about USSA ...must be a scam

I got a message today supposedly from USAA saying they recently received an update to my address and if I didn't authorize it to call the number they provided. I called the main USAA number and reported it. They confirmed it is a scam and also said there are a lot of e-mail scams purporting to be USAA now as well.

received a text that someone had opened a checking and or savings account in my name. If I didn't, to call this #. Said call was from USAA. Upon calling got recording asking account # or SS#. Upon not giving info, it said there was a 3 hour wait for a representative.

Received a txt; USAA: An account was added to your list of accounts available for fund transfers. If you didn't authorize this, please call 800-292-8995. I don't even have a USAA account... smh

Received a text that said a checking/savings account had been opened in my name. To call this number if it wasn't me that opened it. Scam!!

Just got a notification on my phone that someone was trying to up my withdrawal limit on my USAA debit card. Went into my app and it said the same thing and to call this number. I called and it didn't sound like the usual level of professionalism. So I called the main number and canceled my card and changed my phone password.

We got a text saying "USAA: An account was added to your list of accounts available for funds transfers. If you didn't authorize this, please call 800-292-8995."
