This is a legit number for US Bank (verified when called my bank directly). I was able to stop over $1200.00 worth of charges. Yes it is an automated call to alert you of suspicious activity on your account. Call US Bank directly if you get a call from this number. Saved me.

called twice.using 1-800-309-4416 & 1-866-213-9417 within an hour. CID said Toll Free Call. I automatically blocked them. The 2nd shows as a credit card fraud on other sites. Supposedly US Bank notifying you of fraud charges on your credit card. I don't have one.

Legit call; it's the fraud department at US Bank. They call if they notice suspicious activity on your debit/credit card. I received 3 calls from this number before I was able to answer and there was suspicious activity on my account. If you don't have an account through US Bank, it may be spam; but for me it was legit!

1-800-309-4416 is not a valid number for US Bank. I hope you called your local branch direct and not this number to verify your acct information.

We just got a call from this number, and do have a US Bank card. A Google search turned up an AskUSBank twitter account that provided the 1-800-309-4416 number as a direct line to the fraud department, back in August. It seems more likely that this is a legitimate number -- otherwise the August post would have to have been the work of a hacker, and it seems near-certain that it would have been taken down by now.

I received a call from this number. A call to the US Bank fraud department and a 15 minute wait indicated that this was a legitimate call..

Got a call on a Sunday 8AM so was automatically suspicious. This is a scam. Called the usual # and no fraud was reported.

Recording for fraud prevention using my actual name in the recording. I don't have a credit card and any accounts I have are not associated with the number they called. Definitely scam. Do not give your account information. Do not push any numbers that it tells you to verify. If in doubt call the number to your local branch or the number on your credit card. Do not call these people back and give your information.

You must be part of the scam. It's definitely not legitimate.

I was called 2 times by this number 800-309-4416. Called the number and they would not identify that they were US Bank (fishy) and told me that they needed my address, SSN, DOB.... I asked them to kindly pound sand. I called the number on the back of my card, talked to 2 different US Bank fraud departments (personal and business) and was told that they do not have any record of any fraud on my card. I vote that this is fraud.
