Mr. Brandon Seeval called and left a message to call 1-800-545-1256. Since I'm not good with due dates, I doubt this is a possible scam, but more probably an overdue payment on Macy's credit card. I'll just pay what's due online and hopefully that will stop further calls, scam or legit!
Just to let you know... usually anytime someone leaves a message with "personal business matter" it's a debt collection agency.
YEAH I GOT A PHONE CALL ALSO, PLENTY OF TIMES...ASKING FOR MY BROTHER, AND THEY TELL ME, "ITS REGARDING A PERSONAL BUSINESS MATTER." GETS ON MY [***] NERVES!!!! THE NUMBER THAT APPEARS ON MY CALLER ID IS: (513)754-9822
have no idea who this "ms. williams" is, but when asked why she was calling said "a personal business matter." i was late on my macy's payment.. but in all honesty have been late in the past and was NEVER called. the number they left for a return call was 1-800-545-1256. another site says that someone from this number was asking for a payment on a card with no balance.bad business for sure...
I got a phone call (showing ID: 513-754-9822)telling me that my macy's account is overdue and if I paied the bill over phone she would cancle my late fee. I told her I need to verify her ID. She said sure, and tell me to call her back at 1-800-545-1256 at ext. 38595. I called the number I found on Macys.com to verify this number, TWICE, they said it is a validate number of Macy's, but they can not verify name of the lady called. I was about to call back when I see those comments here. Don't know what to do yet.
The company HCL Tech. in India does indeed work for Macy's - that is not to say they have their act together. I had a Macy's account a number of years ago - it was closed in good standing. Every morning I have gotten a phone call from HCL Tech (in India) from 513-573-8028. I have repeatedly spoken to them to take me off of their list using that number and 800-884-9168 and 800-545-1256. It was no use and no useful information was obtained. Finally I called Macy's Credit Customer Service 1-866-593-2543 - after negotiating their VM queue using 000-00-0000 as my SSN I was given to a CS rep... guess where, India. Who informed me that my account was closed and in good standing when it was and told me that I should not be receiving any calls - they transfered me to another collection dept. that verified that I have no outstanding Macy's or Bloomingdales accounts and that I will no longer receive call. Let's wait and find out.
I got this call for the last few nites for my wife to call this 18005451256 for a personal business matter from Macy's. The only this is that neither one of us has EVER had a Macy card or do we go to Macy's. This has to be a scam or something. Neither of us go to Macy's or have anything to do with them.

I called and got another oerson who said they would help me and then aked for my acct number from macys which I did'nt give them then they asked for my social and I said I never give that over the phone I asked why they called and they said they were a collection agency. I am never late on any payments in my life this is a scam and I am going to macy's and closing the account today
I work for Macy's Collections Dept in their Central Office. The 727 area code is their South Office. This # is what we give when we call people, and if you're 3 day late, you get kicked to us to give you a reminder call b/c most people just forget their payments. Trust me, its a legit # and most of us are rather nice if you just tell us how much you're going to send and when and how. If we can get that, we can list it as a 'Promise to Pay' and stop calling for about 7 days. We don't ride you, we just remind you. But as a collector, especially on the accounts that are 3 & 4 months deliquent...people are more upset if we just report you to the credit bureau, so be thankful we call to remind you instead of just report you like some card companies do.
