Represented themselves as B of A. Said I had applied for a Spirit Airlines Credit Card. I did not provide info to them but they were able to read my home address to me. Given the conversation, appears to be compromised info from a closed Alaska Airlines credit card. I made sure the freeze on my credit bureaus was still in place. When I informed the caller on that, she said she would contact B of A fraud department and call back. Amazing - No call back.

Caller identified as from Bank of America and I don't have an account with them. My credit is on a hard freeze and someone has my social security number. They wanted to know if I authorized credit with them, I said no. So obviously, how did they get my phone number, and I just confirmed it was mine. I cannot trust anybody these days. It is very discouraging.

"Craig" called "from Bank of America." He said he was working on my cash rewards program (which I have never signed up for) and gave me the last 4 digits of my card. Then he asked me to "confirm" the 3 digit CID code on the back of my card. When I said, "no, I will not tell you that information over the phone," he hung up on me. I called BofA and they knew nothing about the call and said it was most likely someone phishing and it was good I didn't give them my info. They recommended I lock my card, which I promptly did.

Please get these bogus phone calls to stop!

Caller asked for me by first and last name, stated they were from Bank of America. Then proceeded to ask me to verify my full name and date of birth. I did not provide this information and instead called BOA directly. The rep at BOA stated that there weren't any notes in my account indicating that they had called.
