Got 4 calls from this number, finally someone states that I ordered a Acai product and I am in collections. The operator has my name and address, I ask for a bill from the original business and they state we are in collections already and he is a collections officer. I then hang up and he calls back and says that hanging up will not make him go away...I then state that as he is speaking I have listed the number on the internet and there are 11 pages of complaints from this number, he hung up?BTW Verizon will block up to 5 numbers, they expire in a month or so but better than nothing
I have been receiving phone call's on a daily basis, sometimes twice a day from 801-229-2252. The call is from Orem UT. After ignoring the call for about 2 week's, I picked it up out of frustration and no one answered after I said hello. They just called again and this time I picked up and didn't say anything. A womans voice came on the line and said hello and I could hear other people in the background talking as if it were a telemarketing call. My phone line went dead before I could say anything. The daily phone calls from this number are very aggravating!
I have received calls from this number during the morning for about three days, I never answered these calls so how can we stop it?
This number has called 3 times now. First 2 times asked for "amanda" in a weird voice, we would ask who was calling and they would hang up. This is the 3rd time thatve called now and this time they actually talked, they were asking about if I wanted to go back to school. I told em no and to add me to do not call list. Hope that's the last call I get.
This number has been coming up at least twice a day for the past week. No one is there so now I just ignore it.... It drives us crazy. I am on the DO NOT CALL LIST. We owe no debts.
Message left on my recorder and it showed the above number.Message was someone hmmm ing for about 3 seconds, weird. I've received calls with no one on the line a few times now, but I haven't been answering the phone now that I have caller ID. This number has started to show itself quite a few times now. From Orem UTVery weird.Don't really care, they must be psycho to waste their time and mine
Most likely a scam or a product unlawfully using the name Google. I wish more people would report this to the FTC rather than whine on this site. 26 pages and growing? With such a broad range of who this number could be, it is more than likely just a scammer group possibly using a google voice number and possibly the number has been sold multiple times and passed around for various agencies to use then resell or trade. A type of number that can change hands so easily or be sold on E-Bay can potentially be used to circumvent the FTC's enforcement. But it can still be traced if the plaintiffs (complainers? Victims!) are accurate when reporting the time of the calls or if they bother to report them to the FTC at all. Please people! This site is only to let people know that they can ignore this number and should not call them back. If the people calling with this number are harassing you, then you should report it to the FTC, not just here. Most people that have a cell phone can customize the ringtone for this number to silent so that they are not bothered. I almost never answer my cell phone. I wait for the voice mail and call them back if they leave one. If they don't leave a voice mail then I know it is not important. Alternatively one could set the default ringtone to silent and customize a non-silent ringtone for numbers of people they know. For people with a landline, just turn the ringer off and use an answering machine or voicemail or forward the number to your choice of free online voice-mail services. Get in the habit of checking your voice mail regularly at your convenience. The phone should be a tool to benefit you, not a tool for others to harass you. No phone call is so important that it can't wait for one to be prepared for it.
