They've been calling once a day, every day, usually in the evening. I don't pick up, they don't leave a message. I called them back after hours and requested removal from their list (via voice message.) Have yet to be removed.
I am getting calls from this number and they do not leave a message. Calls are received during the day and since I do not recognize the number I do not answer. However, I have just called both number back(817-302-0293 and 817-302-0300) after 9:00 P.M. when I have unlimited calling service. Both numbers are answered by a "broad" that does not speak clearly, so I have no idea who "it" is, nor the company identification. These calls are made during the day and my cell-phone charges are $0.25/per minute over the allowed minutes. Do you think I am financially well-off enough to speak with a stranger that I can not understand? The "broad" does indicate that they are taking a survey, which on the recording I stated that I am not interested in a survey. If it is a company that I deal with and there is a problem, I ask for the manager/owner and get results immediately, face to face. Also, if there is outstanding service by an employee, I also make that known. If I find out who is selling my name and number I will no longer do business wth them and also report them to the Better Business Bureau. Starting tomorrow, I will try to find who the culprit is and deal with them (owner/manager/whoever) face to face and not have to hide behind a telephone.
First off....You've probably never had the pleasure of being on the receiving end of your bs tirade. You might just understand when you pull your head out your butt that these are people trying to provide for their family. Or would you rather people welch off the people paying income tax? Better yet you try living off food stamps and then go do that job. Find out that it's decent paying but you have to put up with d-bags like yourself and maybe you'd understand something for once in your life other than your a douche!
YES! And if you don't answer, they just choose a time to call with a "restricted" number showing on caller I.D. And when you do answer and listen to the recording that instructs you to hit "3" to be removed from their list, it just takes you back to the beginning of the recording. So, then I pressed "1" to speak to an "account representative" and they hung up on me when i asked to be removed! So I looked up the missed call which was the 817 number, called it and left a message to be removed from their list. If I get one more call from them, I will be sure to find a way to officially complain about this company and I would suggest anyone take the steps to do the same.
Was not at home when call came in. Husband answered and the person said he was with Medicare, asked for me by name, and then asked if my husband could help him. My naive husband proceeded to discuss my health with them-----NOT!!!! Needless to say he is in the dog house as he really did not know who called, why, and how to locate them. The caller did not have my permission to speak to my husband regarding my health. I believe this is against the law as he did not have my permission to discuss my health. Did a *69 on the phone and came up with the number and called it. They answer DSS Research, A Market Research Firm. Don't fall for this!! as he did. I do not know who in the world has my medical information.
I disagree! We pay the phone bill and should not get calls from anyone without prior permission. It takes a lot of valuable time to call each of these places and request to be removed from the calling list. I get calls all hours of the day and night from fax machine numbers as well as this and other numbers. It takes way too much time to call each of these numbers to request to be removed. Anyone who calls without prior permission should have to pay a fee for taking up my valuable time.
Call time in Texas was 3:00 am, Sunday morning, Jan. 10, 2010 and was calling that they were doing survey on behalf of TakeCare Health Care Insurance. The intended person that they wanted to speak forewentanswering until he check the telephone number out. This is one of many calls received. It is hard to believe for reputed company, like TakeCare, to have their surveying contractor license to disrupt their clients' peaceful Sunday. I smell something sinister about the survey and left it unresponsive.
Called over and over to my husband who did not pick up on it. I picked up today and a woman said she was, "Calling on behalf of Medicare." Seriously. I asked if she was working AT Medicare or for the government or our insurance and she would not answer, just that she was calling on "behalf of Medicare." I offered to answer her questions if she would tell me who specifically she actually worked for and what specifically they wanted. She said she would "call back" and next time if he is not available they will "ask you the questions." Think it sounds scammy - Thank heaven for call blocker! So sick of the calls that seem to "sneak through" Do Not Call. Many times a day every day. WHERE do they get unlisted phone numbers? DMV? I thought DMV was told to stop selling private info, but maybe not?
