Called today around 7:15 p.m. I let my machine answer. They hung up before my machine kicked in (4 rings).

Called mentioned this was for the Police and NHL Alumni hockey game to raise money for the Special Olympics. He quickly claimed, we're unlikely to attend the games and would appreciate a donation. There is no mention of a location or any other details. A complete scam and there is no game or fundraising event.Don't bother speaking to these fraudsters...this is a scam!

They left a message saying that they were going to rape me. WTF!

A man named Sean calling from 1-844-363-0500 telling me he was fund raising for special olympics old man hockey team and that the cops were going to be playing against the old man team. I told them I never heard of any such thing he gave me a website to go and make a donation, these scammers are really clever, olympichockey.com I checked it out, looks like a scam to me.

I went to that website and it is a parked domain, up for sale by its owner. Domain registration records show the registrar is GoDaddy, the owner is in Germany, and is hosted on a server in Germany.

I work at Special Olympics Ontario and we just received a call from a man who got called by this number, which led me to do some research on whether or not it is legit. It is. If you call the number back it explains what it is, and the website is benefithockey.com. We do have donations that come in from Old Timer Hockey, Law Enforcement Torch Run, and Scotiabank. There is legitamate dates and locations for this event that you can buy tickets to, and the money does come to Special Olympics Ontario.

844-363-0500 Called our office twice within a week and twice had someone extremely rude hang up on me when I explained our office already has charities we support and are not interested in donating at this time.

This number called 844-363-0500, I answered and was listening to a dial ringing --as if I was calling them--, then someone picked up the phone at the other end and said "Hello", which I immediately hung up. It was made out to be as if I called this person, which I did not, I just answered my phone. Someone used my number to contact another person. How creepy is this. Then I looked on my call log and noticed this number contacted me 5 previous times.
